Right to Repair Flag  Massachusetts Right to Repair Coalition   Right to Repair Flag

WBZ-Radio 1030's "Nightside with Dan Rea"

"Is this ever a problem,?" pressed Dan Rea, legendary local television reporter for WBZ-TV channel 4, and now host of 50,000 watt WBZ-Radio 1030's "Nightside with Dan Rea." "In rare instances, yes it can be a problem," conceded not one, but two consecutive automobile industry representatives.  Rea spent two hours delving into the Right to Repair issue.  The coalition was expertly represented in-studio by bill sponsor Rep. Garrett Bradley and repair shop owner Glenn Wilder, owner of Wilder Brothers American Car Care, a landmark in North Scituate Massachusetts for more than 100 years.  Wilder argued that it's not rare at all, and gave example after specific example of how he has regularly had to turn away good customers and send them to a franchise dealership due to lack of available repair information.  As the hours wore on, along with supportive calls from repairers and consumers, Rea demanded that the auto industry be willing to appear in-studio and debate the issue, something they had been unwillling do prior to the show which ran Monday, September 14th, on the eve of the public hearing on Right to Repair legislation.

"Nightside with Dan Rea" is heard in 38 states, and parts of Canada, as well as live-streaming on the world wide web.
